The Dakota Dreamers Foundation believes in and supports women to follow their passions, take risks, care for themselves, achieve their goals and live their best lives!

The Dakota Dreamers Foundation envisions a future filled with confident, passionate and empowered women achieving their full potential. Our mission is to inspire and support women to persevere in making their dreams come true! Born from the women’s stories within the pages of the book, “Dakota Dreams:  Women’s Stories of Passion and Perseverance” by Karen Pearson, the foundation seeks to encourage women to identify their dreams and support them to achieve them.

In order to achieve a dream, you first have to believe it is possible.  The stories of the women within the book provide that evidence.  Over the past seven years, thousands of books have been provided at no cost to libraries, domestic violence shelters, community centers, women’s prisons, colleges, other educational/inspirational programs and individuals. This was made possible through generous donations prior to publication and money earned from early book sales to those with means.

Currently we are seeking to expand the reach of the foundation and to explore new opportunities to support the amazing women in South Dakota.  You are invited to join us in this endeavor by sharing ideas and letting us know needs and possibilities in your area!
